Viewing More Info

What “More Info” Shows You

When you browse your Scroll bookshelf and select on an individual book or resource, choosing More Info gives you detailed metadata and helpful information so you know what you’re getting. It includes things like:

  • Title of the content
  • Author(s)
  • Publisher
  • Publication date
  • ISBN or other identifier (if applicable)
  • Number of pages or approximate reading time
  • Description or summary
  • Subject / topic / category
  • Size (file size)
  • Permissions (e.g., whether printing is allowed, downloading, or sharing)

How to Access “More Info”

  1. From your Scroll Bookshelf, locate the item you want details about.
  2. Select the item’s cover thumbnail or the “More Info” link/button.
  3. A panel or pop-up will appear with the metadata listed above.

Using the Information

  • The description / summary can help you decide if you want to read or download that content.
  • Publication date and author info can help you choose more recent or relevant resources.
  • File size is useful especially if you have limited storage or want to decide whether to download.
  • Permissions data tells you what you can do: print, download, share, highlight, etc.

Tips & Troubleshooting

  • If some information is missing (e.g. ISBN, publisher), it may be because the content provider/publisher didn’t include it.
  • If “More Info” is not accessible, check your internet connection; some metadata might require being online.
  • If the “Permissions” section indicates restrictions (no printing, no downloading), these are set by publisher rules—not something Scroll users can change.
  • For long descriptions or large metadata fields, there may be a “Read More” link inside the “More Info” panel.
